An integral member of London’s finest True School hip hop night Livin’ Proof, I play the best true school hip hop, new jack swing and 80's soul.He started life as a dj running and dj’ing at successful hip hop club night Ill Commotion in 2003. The three man promotion / dj team (myself, Dj Rags and CSY) hosted nights for the likes of Technics, UK beatbox Championships, label showcases for Sony BMG & Sony Columbia as well as press showcases / album launches for the likes of The X-ecutioners, Sway, Killa Kela and Foreign Beggars.
This lead to residencies and club sets across London, work as the tour dj (along with fellow ill commotion dj Rags) for Dudley Perkins & Georgia Anne Muldrow’s 2006 European tour, and my 2008 Ill Commotion / THTC mixtape, which graced the cover of Hip hop Connection Magazine. But as a dj, i like to keep an open mind to music and not get pigeonholed as a hip hop dj. Whilst maintaining my hip hop roots, my number one objective is to get people dancing and i love to play anything from electro, bmore and jackin house, to mashup party sets fusing genres geared towards the dancefloor. i've been fortunate to play across London’s club scene with gigs at many prestigious clubs including Fabric Live, Together at Turnmills, The End, Cargo, The Westbury, Herbal, Bungalow 8, The Westbury, The coronet, 333, Kabaret, Chalk at Scala, Work It, Shepherds Bush empire, Queen of Hoxton, Koko, APT and ministry of sound to name a few, as well as sets throughout the country and trips abroad with gigs in Paris (le Triptique), Budapest, Zurich, New York City, Prague, Kosice (slovakia) and Germany And have played alongside greats such as Justice, Stanton Warriors, J-Rocc (beat junkies), The Nextmen, SebastiAn, Herve, The X-ecutioners, Hot Chip, Scratch Perverts, Dj Yoda, The Foals, Foreign Beggars, Stones Throw, Mystery Jets, Sway, Evil Dee, Atmosphere, Scratch (the Roots), Digitalism, Norman Jay, Bugz in the Attic, Kissy Sell Out, Plump Djs, Herve, Roxy Cottontail, Duke Dumont, Breakbot (ed banger), Afu-Ra, Vadim, DJ Format, Tre Hardson (The Pharcyde), OH NO & Rocc C (stones throw), Roots Manuva, Sinden, etc etc
