Beatnotik Homies!!

La idea de Machine Beats empezó a desarrollarse en una mente revuelta e inquieta con la intención de montar fiestas en Barcelona para amigos y de paso dar lugar a nuevos sonidos de club caracterizados por sus bajos contundentes.

Desde su primera fiesta en fin de año de 2010, Machine Beats no ha dejado de crecer. Ganándose un hueco en las programaciones de los clubs más notorios de Barcelona (Razzmatazz · Apolo), su intención es la de seguir dando guerra y llegar a más gente cada día.



En septiembre de 2011, Machine Beats ficha por The Bus Music Club para encargarse de su residencia todos los jueves en Razzmatazz, compartiendo escenario con artistas como Virus Syndicate, Munchi, Jakes, Crissy Criss, Caspa, Foreign Beggars y muchos más.

Il giovanissimo producer partenopeo rappresenterà l’Italia questo sabato 19/11 per una sfida tutta a colpi di beats all’interno del festival BRB.

Beat M Up – International Beat Battle è un contest facente parte del programma del Buma Rotterdam Beats, grande evento innovativo il cui scopo principale è quello di essere un punto di incontro per l’intera scena dell’urban music. L’evento si terrà nella città di Rotterdam a partire da questo giovedì 17 novembre con le nomination e assegnazione degli State Awards ( gli Hip Hop Awards olandesi)e proseguirà poi con due giorni di conferenze, meeting, workshop , live, dj set, jam sessions ecc. nelle 5 location più incantevoli di Rotterdam.

Saranno presenti infatti per l’occasione numerosi artisti, responsabili di locali e festival ( tra cui anche il nostro mega direttore Affro a rappresentare il festival Hip Hop Kemp), etichette discografiche, editori musicali, produttori e manager, tv e film-makers, tutti riuniti per condividere le proprie esperienze riguardo l’industria musicale attuale e futura.
Ritornando più precisamente al contest del Beat M Up, che si terrà sabato 19 novembre al Worm, si sfideranno alla ricerca del sound perfetto 12 producers provenienti da Regno Unito, Repubblica Ceca, Germania, Spagna, Paesi Bassi e Italia.



Il nostro paese, come scrivevamo, sarà rappresentato dal giovanissimo talento partenopeo Oyoshe, salito alla ribalta con il suo “Bring Da Noise 2” , album dell’aprile scorso, che racchiudeva nomi altisonanti della scena hip hop mondiale come Verbal Kent, Chief Kamachi, C Rayz, Vast Aire, Maylay Sparks, Tame One, Blaq Poet, BlockMcCloud, Respect Tha God, Access Immortal, Manifest, Donald D..solo per citarne alcuni. Presente alla serata come special guest anche quella bestia di mc di Action Bronson.
Facciamo così i nostri più sinceri auguri di bocca in lupo a Oyoshe :

We have the great pleasure to introduce you the first Volume of "Beatnotik Podcast".
This time Sensee aka Low Profile from Made in Med Crew, will take you aboard his spaceship to land in a world of low frequencies.

Lowprofile a.k.a Sensee (born as Sebastián Soriano) is a Barcelona based dj who starts mixing in 2007 influenced by Drum & Bass Dj's and Producers like Noisia, Phace, Alix Perez or Instra:mental. During this time, he has been experimenting with all kind of underground electronic music until it founds his real taste in genres between 120-175 bpm's with a common factor: low frequencies.

When he's mixing, Lowprofile put a lot of emphasis in provide sets combining all kind of deep and melodic tunes with more dark and aggressive stuff to create a constant progression until the end.

Under his Sensee's alter ego, he's also making Hip Hop as Mc with an artistic collective/platform (Made In Med) focused on music, audiovisual production and design that he runs with Reveerte and Dani DiWeed, which is at the moment working to release it's first work.

Nowadays, he's also involved with Machine Beats in a project called LOOK AT ME NOW, trying to push up the underground electronic local scene.

Daniel Dumile es DOOM (antes MF Doom), mc y productor de hip hop conocido por sus colaboraciones con Danger Mouse (Danger Doom) o Madlib (Madvillain), entre otros, que se esconde tras una máscara a lo Doctor Doom, el clásico villano de Marvel Comics de quien toma el nombre. Dumile pasa por ser uno uno de los nombres fundamentales del hip hop contemporáneo, aportando a la escena nuevos y atrevidos enfoques durante estos últimos años, ya sea produciendo para otros artistas o en su proyecto personal Doom, con el que visita por primera vez nuestro país.
Entre su producción más reciente, destacan los maxis para Lex Records, Born Like This (2009) y Gazzillion (2010); el cassette-single Victory Laps en colaboración con Starks y con auto-remezcla de Mavillainz; y el 7” compartido con Roc Marciano, que incluye la remezcla de 3:33 del tema Vomit.

Masta Ace and MF DOOM’s ‘MA DOOM’

Masta Ace and MF DOOM’s ‘MA DOOM’ Album Release Date Set For November




The legendary Masta Ace recently revealed some information about the finally-complete project.

Masta Ace of the legendary Juice Crew revealed last week that he has finally completed work on his joint album with producer/MC DOOM. The album, to be titled MA DOOM: Son of Yvonne will be released in November, according to the rapper.

“Finally handed in [MA DOOM:Son of Yvonne] album!,” Masta Ace wrote on Twitter last week. The rapper seemed elated to wrap up the project, which has been rumored to be in the works for some time. The album features raps by Masta Ace and production from DOOM.

Masta Ace also revealed the guests on the project, saying that the only artists featured on the album are Big Daddy Kane and New York crooner Pav Bundy. Ace said that he tried to get a verse from DOOM on the project, but it never materialized. “Never got that DOOM verse unfortunately but still very happy wit it,” the Brooklyn rapper wrote.

According to a response to one fan, the album is due out this November. Masta Ace did not indicate which imprint will play home to the collaboration.

In other Masta Ace news, the wordsmith recently released a six-disc collection of greatest hits, called Hits U Missed. Which is available only from MastaAce.com. In addition, Masta Ace has announced that he’s currently planning a 10-year anniversary re-release for his critically-acclaimed Disposable Arts album.

Hip-hop professor and former producer for Little Brother, 9th Wonder is prolific in the number of artists he’s shaken hands with. Now, after a four-year break from personal projects and producing music for big shots like Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Lil Wayne, and most recently Murs, the producer born Patrick Douthit will release a fourth solo album on September 27th through It’s A Wonderful World Music Group titled Wonder Years (via Exclaim.ca).

While a tracklist is still forthcoming, 9th Wonder maintains the group spirit with his upcoming record, with appearances by Jean Grae, Little Brother, Skyzoo, Thee Tom Hardy, and Rapsody, among others.

9th Wonder’s also got his hands in a couple other upcoming projects, such as Drake’s fall release Take Care and as the subject in a documentary titled The Wonder Year (no, Fred Savage does not make an appearance). In the meantime, keep your eyes and ears open for more details as we inch towards the drop date, and check out a trailer for 9th Wonder’s film below.

UK producer Bullion dove into unchartered territories on this record. He undertook a remixing project that, when done properly, produces an unrivaled uniqueness. Pet Sounds: In The Key Of Dee is a fusion of J. Dilla style and Brian Wilson‘s brainchild, The Beach Boys. This marriage doesn’t suck like so many other The Beach Boys remixes; it’s actually quite incredible. He followed J. Dilla’s lead, experimenting with chopping techniques and reorganizing the already angelic harmonies of the Boys to use them as instruments to color the beat. What makes In The Key Of Dee different is that Bullion didn’t destroy the cohesiveness of The Beach Boys’ tracks. Within the beats, Bullion managed to maintain the attractive nostalgia associated with The Beach Boys’ timeless classics.
